LET JOIN HANDS TOGETHER - AHMED USMAN APPEAL TO STAKEHOLDERS, AS GOMBE REFEREES COUNCIL PAYS VISIT GOMBE UTD MGT BOARD

An appeal has been made to football stakeholders in Gombe state to bury their differences and support the Savannah Scorpions in the quest for premier league promotion.

Chairman Management Board of Gombe United, Alhaji Usman Ahmed made the plea when he received in audience the leadership of the state referees council in his office today.

He advise  that instead of  working against the progress of the club, stakeholders should unite and work as a team to bring back the glory of the club.

The former state Head of Service explained that they are on a "rescue mission " and would do everything within their power to deliver the mandate bestowed on them by the sports loving Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo (OON) ,the Talba of Gombe.

He described their visit as timely and a sign of  mutual understanding and morale booster and assured to work with the referees council in the overall interest of football development in the state.

Alhaji Usman Ahmed said the are working assiduously to bring to an end fractions if any  between technical crew, players and supporters of the club.

Contributing,  a member of the management board  who is also the Iyan Gombe, Alhaji Inuwa Lamido urged referees to uphold fairness while officiating, this according to him will earn them not only national but continental and international recognition, citing the legendary Italian referee Colina.

Earlier, the pioneer chairman of the state referees council, Mohammed Tela and Mr Emma  explained that visit is meant to cement the existing relationship and to work in synergy in the interest of football development in Gombe state.

They applauded the management board for leaving no stone unturned toward delivering the daunting task assigned to them by the state government.
