The Chairman Gombe United Management Board,Alh Ahmed Usman (Mabrooq) has charged our players to take the 2018 NNL season by storm,in order to return back to the NPFL.
Addressing players after training session this evening at the Pantami Stadium, Alh Ahmed Usman said the state government under the sports loving Governor Dankwambo has invested heavily in the club hence the need to reciprocate the gesture by getting back to the premier league.
" Whenever you hold the ball, just think how you will win the match "
We're making frantic effort to see that your salary, match bonuses and other entitlements are upgraded immediately you get promotion back to the NPFL. Ahmed Usman added.
The GUFC chairman said he was impressed with their performance against Jae Fc of Kano in Bauchi which ended 2-0 in their favour.
He showered encomium on the State Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo (OON) the Talba of Gombe for giving special consideration to the club since assuming office.
Alh Ahmed Usman described our fans and supporters as "the best ",hoping they would replicate same this season, by coming out enmasse to ginger the Savannah Scorpions.
Gombe United will kick start their campaign at home as they trade tackle with Malumfashi Fc this coming Saturday at the Pantami Stadium.
