Governor Muhammadu Yahaya admonished the intending pilgrims to ensure they abide by the laws governing Hajj pilgrimage in the holy land.
Bidding them farewell Governor Yahaya lamented that some intending pilgrims had refused to submit themselves for mandatory and relevant tests in preparation for the journey.
He said the Saudi Arabian Authority is a different country and environment, which required the cooperation with officials, rules and regulations for a successful hajj programme.
The Executive Secretary of the Gombe StateMuslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Sa’adu Hassan said a local hajj carrier, Max Air had been contracted for the airlift of Gombe intending pilgrims, while urging the pilgrims to respect their leaders and stay out of arguments and away from rumours during the hajj exercise.
The Gombe State Amirul Hajj and leader of team, Dr. Abubakar Abubakar III said hajj was a life changing spiritual programme, which the pilgrims could take advantage of the importance it provided, to come back home more committed to God.
