Gombe state Governor
Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya has described the Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami as a shining star of Gombe State.
"We are very proud of Dr Pantami, he is a good Ambassador of the State, an individual who excels in any field he puts his mind into", said Gov. Inuwa.
The Governor made this known while receiving the delegation from the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), led by the DG, who paid a courtesy call to the Government house.
While the President of NCS, Prof Ganiyu Adesola Aderounmu, also affirmed that "the appointment of Dr Pantami by President Muhammadu Buhari as the DG NITDA has been a blessing to the IT Sector", adding that 'I only knew Dr Pantami after his appointment'.
On his part, Dr Pantami appreciated the Governor for the cooperation and support rendered to NCS in ensuring that a successful conference was held in the State.
The DG urged his Excellency to work with Stakeholders in ensuring that Gombe State becomes the next Silicon Valley in Nigeria.
