Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State today visited the Abuja office of the Islamic Development Bank in a move to cash into the opportunities in IsDB to partner in addressing developmental challenges in the state.
The Governor, who was received by the Regional Manager, Hub of Abuja, Islamic Development Bank, Mr. Mayoro Niang and his management team, disclosed plans by his administration to come up with an integrated rural development approach in addressing and mitigating some of the challenges in the state, especially in the areas of Education, Health, Agriculture and rural development.
Mr. Niang who commended the enthusiasm shown by Governor Yahaya, said Human Resources development lies at the heart of development agenda of the IsDB, hence the necessity of exploring areas of partnership and collaboration between the financial institution and a promising state such as Gombe in fostering socio-economic development.
