Youths Rehabilitation: Gov Inuwa Yahaya To Establish Ministry Of Internal Security And Cultural Reorientation

Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state said his administration will establish Ministry of Internal Security and Ethical Orientation to regulate activities of Marshals in the state as well as ensure the rehabilitation of thugs in the society.ya stated this in Gombe during a media chat to mark his 100 days in office in Gombe at the weekend.

He said the ministry would regulate activities of Marshals which would compliment security outfits in the state.
Our Correspondent recalls that Marshals were created for community service by the previous administration in Gombe to render community services around the state.
He also said,the government would create an agency which would train the youths and marshals to give them advantage during the recruitment of Military and Para-Military personnel in the country.

According to him, the marshals has no legislative backing but now it will be properly reformed with legislative backing.
“Through the agency, Marshals will receive proper training and they will be able to function well,” he said.

The number one Gombe citizen added that in his administration,  thuggery would not be tolerated, hence he would ensure that youths were well oriented and trained to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.

He maintained that education remained a tool to changing the psyche of the youths, hence his administration would leverage on that to give the youths the opportunity to become better stakeholders in the affairs of the state.

He said in the area of health, very soon the state House of Assembly would  pass bill for the establishment of state health insurance scheme.

According to him, when the bill is passed, the state will be able to access basic funds for health.
