Gombe United Football Club have signed Aliyu Zubairu as their new Technical Adviser.
The Kwara state born tactician was unveiled today at the Pantami stadium after signing the dotted lines .
The former Wikki Tourists who signed two years contract with the Savannah Scorpions said the struture ; plan ; the calibre of people in the management, and the passion for the round leather game by the State Governor and the good people of the state led to his choice of the club.
Aliyu Zubairu explained that he will immediately swing into action as the club is a little bit late as far as preparations for the NNL season are concerned.
He appealed to the Government, management, players and the good people of the state to give him necessary support in order to return the club to it rightful place.
Earlier, the chairman of the club, Sule Musa (Jasper) assured the new Technical Adviser and his technical crew the management's support toward a successful season.
Coach Aliyu Zubairu began his professional coaching with Kwara United Feeder team as the Technical Adviser between 2001-2009.
In 2009 he was the Kwara United Chief Coach until 2015; joined Akwa United in 2016 as Chief Coach where spent two seasons before signing with Wikki Tourists Fc of Bauchi in 2018.
He resigned his position last week and penned a deal with the Savannah Scorpions.
