Maiden Executive Council Meeting:Gov Inuwa Yahaya Assures To Leave Lasting Legacy



Gombe state Governor,
Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has tasked members of the state Executive Council to brace up for the new challenge of leadership  and key into his mantra of transparency, accountability and inclusive governance.

The Governor who gave the challenge in a remark at the inaugural sitting of the state Executive Council, said the maiden meeting marked a milestone in the life of the All Progressives Congress, APC administration in the state.

He also tasked the Exco  members not to relent in their areas of responsibilities just as his administration plans to reposition the state on the path of economic prosperity.

He said the inaugural meeting was for members to familiarize and know themselves more deeply as well as to chart ways of how best to run the administration.

The Governor further added "when we got victory at the poll, we declared unequivocally to all,  that the victory is no ones victory,  but for the people, the  APC as well as Nigerians and most especially for the development of Gombe state."

It is in this spirit that Governor  Inuwa Yahaya reiterated that he will do everything necessary to govern  Gombe and leave it  better than he met it.

He sought for the support and cooperation of the cabinet  members in the task of accelerating the trajectory of growth and  development of Gombe state and moving it to the next level.

During the inaugural session, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor  Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi presented some plagues of award won by Governor Inuwa Yahaya on good governance, state competitiveness, meritorious service and excellence, awarded to him by Business Day Newspapers, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Alumni Association, Federal Horticulture Dadinkowa and others.
