Right fromt inception of his administration, Governor Inuwa Yahaya declared a state of emergency in the education sector. The 2020 budget of change which was signed into law recently has a special allocation to education. Education is the only tool with which any meaningful development can be achieved. Most primary and secondary schools across all the zones in the state are getting a new look.

The Gombe State SUBEB has been busy constructing, renovating and upgrading some previously dilapidated schools in Gombe. With over 791 learning centres in Gombe, the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) has been able to enrol more than 100,000 pupils in the state. It also accommodates some 70,000 Tsangaya learners in the centres. This prompted a very huge encomium from our traditional rulers and observers alike. Strict monitoring is also ensured in order to improve classroom attendance by teachers, quality lesson delivery, and strict adherence to curriculum contents.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya wants to make education efficient and effective for all and sundry, especially the less privileged members of the society who are out of school.
