NFF, Northeast FA Chairmen Thumbs Up Gov Inuwa Yahaya As Gombe Host Zenith U13/15 Future Super Eagles Zonal Elimination
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the North-East FA chairmen have applauded Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State for his support towards the success of the Zenith/NFF future Super Eagles U-13/U-15 Northeast Elimination Series.
Board member and Chairman Match Commissioners' Appointment Committee of the NFF, Alhaji Babagana Kalli Kachallah who made the commendation on behalf of the NFF in Gombe explained that without the Governor's support through the provision of facilities and serene environment the event wouldn't have been hitch free and successful.
According to him Gombe will also host the National tournament scheduled for the first week of April which he is optimistic would be another success.
Earlier, the State Commissioner for Education,Dr Habu Dahiru who performed the official kick off the the elimination series expressed appreciation to the NFF and the North East FA chairmen for chosen Gombe to host both the Zonal and National events and assured Government's relentless support in that direction.
He said charged the participants to play the game according to its rules and combine both sports and education for a better future.
The commissioner of education said because of the passion Governor Inuwa Yahaya has for education his administration had removed over one hundred and fifty thousand children on streets back to school inaddition to reintroducing school games.
He further said very soon school sports competition would be revived to continue to hunt for future talents.
During the draws which took place at Salaha Suites,GRA Gombe the North East FA chairmen, coaches, secretaries and other stakeholders gave a pat on the back of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the good people of the state for the support and warm reception.
