Abubakar Yellow, Gombe United football club board member said he is yet to come to terms that Hon. Chidi For Okenwa, Enugu FA is no more.
Abubakar Yellow explained that the sad news which was announced yesterday or the sudden death of an excellent football administrator was defeaning and too heavy to his ears.
According to him late Hon.Chidi who until his death was a member of the NFF Executive Committee and also Chairman Nigeria National League would be missed and had left a wide vacuum hardly to be filled.
While commiserating with the NFF,NNL, Enugu FA and his family Abubakar Yellow said the death of Chidi Okenwa was a huge loss to the entire football family in Nigeria.
The Gombe United Football Club Board Member described late Chidi as one of the the architect for the modernisation of Nigeria football calling on the bereaved family to take solace in God who giveth and taketh away.
Late Chidi Okenwa died of leukemia yesterday morning in Enugu at the age of 50.
