Gombe Governor: Ex -Chief Of Staff Death A Monumental Loss To The State

Gombe state Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has received with sadness, the news of the demise of Alhaji Babayo Gidado, a one time Chief of Staff, Government House during former Governor Danjuma Goje's administration, describing his death as a huge loss.  

Alhaji Gidado died yesterday in Gombe at the age of 79. 

In a condolence message, on behalf of the Government and people of Gombe state, Governor Yahaya described the late Alhaji Babayo Gidado as a devout muslim, distinguished gentleman, dedicated public servant and seasoned administrator who served the state diligently and earned the respect and admiration of the people.  

He said throughout his career in service as a teacher, administrator, clerk to the Gombe state House of Assembly and later Chief of Staff to former Governor Danjuma Goje, the late Alhaji Babayo Gidado distinguished himself and exhibited high sense of honesty, integrity and moral rectitude while carrying out his duties.  

The Governor said the former COS's death is a monumental loss not only to his immediate family, associates and community members, but to the entire people of the state.  

Governor Yahaya extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved, praying Almighty Allah to reward the deceased's good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus and grant those he left behind the fortitude to bear the great loss.
