The Emir of Gombe Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III has assured to support Gombe United Fc in its quest to gain promotion back to the NPFL.
The royal father gave the assurance when the Management board led by the chairman, (Dr) Lanre Daniel paid him a sallah homage at his palace in Gombe.
Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar said he was saddened that after all efforts made in returning the club back to the premier league;it took just a season to be relegated again.
The traditional ruler however says he will not be deterred from supporting the club again,adding that with caliber of people in the board;Gombe United will return to it rightful place at the end of the new NNL campaign season, following the cancellation of the league because of coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier, the chairman of the club (Dr) Lanre Daniel informed the royal father that they were at the palace to pay sallah homage;seek for his fatherly advice and blessings as well as to express appreciation for his relentless support to the club.
Other board members which include Abubakar Yellow, Alhaji Bappah Burah and Bulus Plando re echoed their loyalty to the chairman Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs.
