Former Gombe State Commissioner of Youths Empowerment , Malam Farouk Yarma has pledged 100,000 Naira to the only representative of the State in the ongoing National Youth Games in Delta state Munyal Kwairanga, for clinching three gold medals in gymnastics.
Mallam Farouk Yarma while pledging the financial gesture through his registered sports company, Prudent Sport Limited said" her achievements reflect not only her dedication and talent but also the potential that exists within communities in the State.
The pioneer Executive Chairman of Gombe State Sports Commission, applauded her parents for their support in her journey at such a young age. "However, a critical question remains, how can we sustain her momentum and ensure her continued success?."
Yarma also raised concerns about the state of sports development in Gombe state which he said is disheartening given the wealth of talent in our state that deserves similar recognition and support.
He noted that other states are sending delegations of 150 to 300 athletes, saying anomaly needs to be critically addressed.
The Fc Yarmalight proprietor called on all stakeholders to work together towards building a sustainable sports culture in the State that empowers our youth and showcases their incredible potential.
